WHITE TRASH CHARMS

HOW IT ALL BEGAN:
Proudly originating from Los Angeles, California, White Trash Charms was founded by fashion stylist Brooke Dulien in 2001. Renown for it's authentic and light-hearted, tongue and cheek perspective on American Pop Culture, the response was quick and palpabe. Forging irony and luxury came naturally to Dulien. Her passion for music and the visual arts compelled her to create wearable jewelry that was not only beautifully well crafted, but also accessible to those artists with whom she felt not only felt inspired by, but also inspired. . As creative director, she follows her own philosophy, "There are no rules, sometimes you look for inspiration, sometimes it finds you. Just never chase it. It comes on it's own and don't be afraid to let it find you, and more importantly, never keep it from the world."

Dulien, originally designed the 14k gold Lightening Bolt for a one off photo shoot she was styling. Shortly after she kept getting stopped by admirers asking where they could purchase this pendant. It wasnʼt until one day on set when world renowned photographer David La Chapelle took it off her neck and put it on Ryan Phillippe that she realized she was on to something. The lightening bolt made it to the cover of Flaunt Magazine worn by Phillipe and just like that, White Trash Charms was born. Shortly after, visionare and costume designer Patricia Field got a hold of the bolt and costumed Sarah Jessica Parkers character, Carrie Bradshaw (“Sex And The City”) in the head turning piece. Dulien then decided to take her design aesthetic and extend it to an entire collection, creating unique and coveted charms.
